About the Role

This unique dual role combines the responsibilities of an Account Manager with the expertise of a Medicare Agent. As an Account Manager, you will be our valued clients' primary point of contact, providing exceptional service and support in all aspects of their employee benefits programs. Additionally, you will utilize your knowledge as a Medicare Agent to guide individuals through the complexities of Medicare enrollment and plan selection.

Key Responsibilities

Account Manager

Serve as the main liaison between clients and insurance carriers

Manage renewals, open enrollment periods, and ongoing client communications

Assist clients with claims resolution, eligibility, and billing inquiries

Maintain a deep understanding of various employee benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability

Stay up to date on industry regulations and compliance requirements

Medicare Agent

Conduct individual consultations to assess Medicare needs and preferences

Educate clients on Medicare options, including Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Prescription Drug Plans

Assist clients with the enrollment process, plan comparisons, and ongoing support

Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure their Medicare needs are met

Qualifications and Skills

Account Manager

Technical: Proficiency in Excel, 2+ years of experience in a benefits insurance brokerage or as an insurance carrier representative (benefits focus), current WA Life and Disability License

Soft Skills: Personable, client-focused, detail-oriented, organized, excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Medicare Agent

Technical: Proficiency in Excel, proven sales success with cold call experience, current WA Life and Disability License

Soft Skills: Outgoing, client-focused, results-oriented, persistent, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
